Dr. Stear has extensive, specialized training in treatment of abuse, pediatric issues, and health psychology for a range of medical issues including chronic pain, wellness psychology for freedom from smoking, weight loss/maintenance and sports performance. Her primary philosophy is a client-centered belief in harnessing one's inner resources to solve daily problems. She has experience in developmental issues across the life span, such as play therapy, adolescence, young adulthood, parents with young children, empty nest, and retirement.  She specializes in clinical hypnosis, sports and health psychology.  She integrates cognitive/behavioral, interpersonal psychodynamic, and Ericksonian modalities.  Compassionate, solution-oriented treatment has been the guide of her services for the past 20 years.  Dr. Stear is a Medicare provider, and accepts private pay and other insurance.

Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago's Jane Addams College of Social Work where she earned her Master's Degree in Social Work. Cindy has 17 years of experience working with individuals of all ages, couples and families. She completed specialized, intensive training working with those who have experienced sexual trauma. She maintains a client-centered approach, and helps others explore patterns of relationships, behavior and beliefs that may perpetuate feelings of discomfort or frustration.

Scott Johnston MS, MFT
Masters Level Associate in Marriage and Family Therapy
Scott received his Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University in Minnesota. He has experience both professionally and personally with the complex concerns of marriage, blended families, adoption and foster care. He is a military veteran who understands the issues related to those who chose to serve. Scott believes that people have inner strengths and resources that they have used in the past to be successful, and gently guides them in making the desired changes for their better tomorrow. He works at the office on Saturdays.  SLIDING SCALE FEES ACCEPTED.

Paul Fairbanks MA, NCC, LCPC

Dr. Jodi Fourt received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University. She has a variety of clinical experiences in individual and couples therapy, testing, as well as counseling with children and adolescents. Her areas of specialty include working with mood disorders and anxiety, women's psychology, self esteem, autism spectrum disorder, and meditation/relaxation. She also does psychological testing. Dr. Fourt's philosophy for treatment is a person centered, experiential approach based on the compassionate exploration of painful emotions with the goal of transformation and healing. Marilyn Ramirez, M.S. Ed., NCC, LPC

Marilyn is a bilingual, Spanish-speaking, therapist with four years of experience. she believes that the key for therapeutic progress and success lies in the relationship between the client and their counselor. She uses a Person-Centered therapeutic approach with a focus on client empowerment, while incorporating aspects of Adlerian Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Nan received her Master Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northern Illinois University. Nan's focus is working with individuals, couples and families in how they perceive and navigate through past traumas, life's present challenges, transitions and personal or professional relationships.
